Why bronze has no element square
A familiar metal material can be a mixture rather than an element.
The periodic table is a map of chemical elements. It gives each element one atomic number and one symbol. Bronze is an alloy, conventionally based on copper and tin, so it does not have a unique atomic number or a dedicated element square.
The shop’s metals collection can include both elemental metals and alloys, but this scientific table keeps them distinct. To investigate bronze’s conventional constituents, open the copper and tin records.
Likewise, a commercial metal object should not be assumed to be chemically pure just because it is sold under a metal’s name. Composition and fineness belong to the specifications of the individual product, which are separate from the reference properties of the element.
